PRE-DRYWALL HOME INSPECTIONS

The first step on your new home inspection journey.

A Pre-Drywall Inspection is crucial to ensure that any issues with the home's systems are found and fixed early on while they are still easily accessible. Once the drywall is installed, it will be much harder to address any problems with the pipes, wires, ductwork, and framing. Don't miss this opportunity to catch any issues they become hidden and potentially more costly to fix.

Building a home involves many professionals, and mistakes can happen. From masons to electricians, plumbers to HVAC specialists, and painters, each person plays a crucial role in constructing your dream home. Despite everyone's best efforts, sometimes things can fall through the cracks. We understand this and are here to help you navigate any issues that may arise during the construction process.

With a new home construction inspection, you can ensure that every detail of your home is thoroughly checked by a professional who works for you, not the builder or the county. It's always a good idea to have a fresh set of eyes to catch any issues and give you peace of mind.

Common Pre-Drywall Defects

"I had Francis come and perform pre dry wall inspection. It went great and he was very professional. He did identify many defects - major & minor ones which were missed by the county inspector as well."

Not all materials in your new home were handled with care! Improper handling materials on your homesite will lead to issues in the finished home.

The role of a county inspector is to ensure that a building is up to local code, along with several other properties they inspect that day. While they work hard and do work in your interest, it's important to note that they don't work for you and can't take time to thoroughly go over the whole house. In fact, according to a video made by the city of McKinney, TX, their team of 12 building inspectors performed 60,000 home inspections in one year, which means each inspection only gets 34 minutes on average. At our company, we take 2 to 2 ½ hours on average for every pre-drywall inspection to thoroughly examine the home.

"Very professional and knowledgeable. Tim didn't just point out items to me but also took the time to explain why they are important and how the builder should fix them."

A pre-drywall inspection is an important step in the construction process, ideally done before insulation. A quality inspection report can be a valuable document to have for years to come. It can serve as a guide for future repairs and renovations, making the work easier and less expensive. Show your contractors what's behind your walls with a detailed pre-drywall inspection report.
